Pope Globalization Academy students experience an emphasis in literature, social studies and world languages during their four years at Pope and take their English and Social Studies courses as a cohort in the following sequence:
Globalization Academy students are required to take a world language all four years and most students will complete AP Spanish, AP French or AP German. Alternatively, students may complete through level III of IV of one language and level I or II of a second language.
Globalization Academy students also must take AP Seminar and AP Research for their AP Capstone Project in 11th and 12th grades. Students are also eligible to earn the AP Seminar & Research Certificate after successfully completing those courses and defending a written and oral presentation of their research. The AP Capstone Diploma adds a requirement to complete four AP courses and exams, which is embedded within the Globalization curriculum.
