NextGen Forest Ambassadors stewardship program is for teens ages 14-16. Selected applicants host a youth summit, name obstacles to nature and actionable solutions, learn from expert conservationists, and plan and execute stewardship projects with 1-1 mentoring from land managers. This program is free for participants, provides gear as needed, and offers a $100 stipend upon successful completion of all program elements. This program is hosted by Georgia Mountains Children’s Forest Network, a collaboration between Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests, Appalachian Trail Conservancy, Georgia Appalachian Trail Club, and Greening Youth Foundation.
