ISDS Requirements

What is the ISDS?

In today’s global marketplace, it is important for students to acquire the interdisciplinary skills they need to be globally competent and competitive. The International Skills Diploma Seal (ISDS) is awarded to graduating high school students who complete an international education curriculum and engage in extracurricular activities and experiences that foster the achievement of global competencies. It signals employers and higher education institutions that students are prepared to participate in the global economy. Who can earn the Seal?

Any student who completes the requirements can earn the ISDS seal, however, Globalization Academy students are required to complete the requirements for obtaining their ISDS seal. Most non-Globez students are seniors when they finish the requirements, however, Globez students will complete all requirements (except for 2 classes taken senior year) as a junior. Therefore, being able to say on college applications that they are a candidate for an ISDS seal.
